Aurora alerts
Get a notification when there is a good chance of aurora where you are.
Alerts are planned from the forecast every time you open the app.
What is Kp?
Kp is a number from 0 to 9 that shows how disturbed the Earth's magnetic field is. The higher the Kp, the stronger the aurora, and the further south it can be seen.
The score combines aurora activity (Kp and the NOAA OVATION forecast), clouds (low clouds count most, thin high clouds least), whether it is dark enough, and a little for moonlight.
